STANDARDS |

The
Standards Committee of the Mill Valley Fall Arts Festival will
review exhibits during the Festival for compatibility with slides
presented to the jurying process. All artwork exhibited must
be consistent with that originally submitted for jurying, and
must also meet the eligibility requirements stated in your application
information package (see "Application Information"). Any work
that differs from that shown in the slides must clearly be an
outgrowth or evolution of the juried work, and of the same quality.
All items exhibited, in whatever price range, must be of consistent
quality. |

Application
regulations and restrictions
- No
work by apprentices or employees will be accepted.
- No
commercial agents, dealers or manufacturers may enter.
- No
kits, music cassettes, commercial molds, tumbled stones,
embellished objects, ivory, edible art, plants, flowers,
T-Shirts, manufactured clothing, or any other manufactured
items may be submitted.
- Commercial
s of your work are NOT
acceptable for sale unless they are categorized as noted
below in the giclee section.
- This
includes commercially published books, posters or cards
taken from photographs, drawings, prints or paintings.
- New
Giclee Policy: The sale of LIMITED editions of high quality
'giclee' reproductions of original art available for sale
in the categories of Painting, Graphics and Prints, will
be accepted when following these guidelines:
- Reproductions
on archival paper or canvas, clearly listed / labeled
as reproductions may be displayed IN BINS ONLY, mounted,
matted or framed. This policy excludes color Xerox and
reworked , hand colored reproductions.
- Three-dimensional
work which has been produced by anyone other than the artist
applying is not acceptable.
- The
proportion of works shown should reflect that shown in the
slides presented for jurying. That is, if four slides show
major pieces, and one shows samples of pieces from a lower
price range, the artist's display should show predominantly
major pieces.
- You
must be present at your booth for the full two days of the
Festival.
- All
exhibited work must be original and produced solely by the
applicant. All the work you intend to exhibit must be represented
by your slides. (You may apply separately in more than
one category, but you must exhibit only in those
categories for which you have been juried/accepted.)
- The
Standards Committee reserves the right to remove from the
Festival any work it considers unsuitable. If the work you
show at the Festival is not representative of your slides,
you will be asked to remove that work. Continuing to show
and sell unacceptable items will result in disqualification
from future Festivals.
